A little about me

Born in Quebec, lived in the suburb of Montréal and moved to Vancouver BC at 33 when an opportunity presented itself. 

I’m inspired by the West Coast, Cities, Travels and texture and add use my own creative imagination to create. I am a self-taught painter, loved to draw as a teen to escape the world around me and later explored paint when time permitted.  With a background in interior design, followed by a decade in the travel industry and over 20 years as a business owner of a lifestyle gift store in Steveston Village.

More recently with time available for myself, I expanded my artistic skills by engaging with mixed media and  Paper Painting Collage, and now an alumni of the Creative Visionary Program (CVP).

I paint and create because I am captivated by colour (I’m a colour freak). In the quiet of my studio I can focus on the canvas before me. Each painting becomes a delightful puzzle to solve, capture a fleeting moment, blend hues, and evoke emotion. I thrive on change and exploration, drawing inspiration from new landscapes and subjects, allowing my brush to explore. With every stroke, I express my perspective, translation Life's chaos into something tangible, colouful, and inviting others to see the world through my eyes.

My aspiration is for the work to evoke memories, a sense of calm, bring a smile and delight for the viewers and collectors.
